Baxter rescues point

First Half

The Blades came out looking to extend there unbeaten run to 7games . In the 3rd minute after continuously giving the ball away Aidy White went off injured and on came Jamie Murphy. Oldham had been attacking, and in the 6th minute they went down the left hand side, and Adam Rooney crossed the ball in and Jonson Clarke-Harris tumbling with Harry Maguire giuded a header past Long. The Blades were on the end of Oldham attacks, and were on the end of Jonson Clarke-Harris after he was flagged offside but was left by Harry Maguire to slot home. Oldham pushed for a second but it never came.

Second Half

In the second half the Blades came out, looking a different team. Baxter was using the midfiled and switching play. Two early corners went astray, but signs the Blades were pushing. Wave after wave of attack came to nothing. Then in the 54th minute it came. Baxter stepped up from 30yards and hit it as hard as he could, over the wall for a goal, against his former team he chose not to celebrate. In the dying minutes, Baxter curled a shot but it hit the post, and then in the 92minute a cross from Baxter was cleared of the line, twice by Oldham defenders.
