Sheffield United 2-1 Port Vale

As i walked into Bramall Lane, yesterday i thought we can win this as we lined up 4-4-2 with Lyle Taylor upbeat about his recent goals. Still anticipating, a announcement on a manager we started off well, having 3/4 earlier chances on goal. Free kicks galore. Brandy, was really up for it, twisting and turning the Vale defenders. And then in the 12th minute came the goal we've all been waiting for, McGinn crossed in from the corner and Collins headed in the opening goal. Vale were tackling dangerously, and causing numerous fouls. So much they had a man sent off, after a dangerous tackle on Flynn. In the closing 45 minutes, Vale had a free kick. And they took it quickly, and a scuffed cross, found it's way under the bottom of the bar. HT came 1-1.

The players came out for the second half, raring to go. McGinn and Doyle were bossing the midfield. Brandy carried on, running the Vale defence ragged. Taylor kept the pressure on. Long made a string of saves. The 18,000 that were there carried to roar the lads on. In the 75th minute, Flynn gave the ball to his captain, and he slotted away from 20 yards. Miller came on for King with a blistering applause. He started of brightly, nearly scoring and Coady did in the 7mins that were added on. All in all a good win, and a start for Clough who was at Crewe yesterday.
