I look at why RVP is doing so well at the Red Devils. In his final
season at the Gunners Robin hit the ground running and this came to the
immediate attention of Sir Alex. He watched him for the rest of the
season and with his contract with Arsenal set to run out by the end of
2013. Arsenal didn't want to let him go free so they accepted a bid from
Manchester United for £24million.
Since then he has continued that form into this season and is looking
like the difference between Manchester United and Manchester City in
the title race. After scoring against MCFC to win the game in the final
stages some MUFC fans have already labelled him a legend and say he's in
the mix with Ryan Giggs,Paul Scholes and many more. Well he can take
corners and with Evra,Vidic and Evans coming up from the back that's
another key sanction of goals.
Currently playing in the form of his life Sir Alex said in a
Interview with BBC Football Focus on RVP that "I never thought we had a
chance of getting Robin van Persie because I didn't think Arsenal would
sell to us.
"My discussions with Arsene were good but long, probably a couple of
months. They realised that the lad wanted to leave. It was a matter of
negotiating a price with Arsene".
His thoughts on him as a player, "His first season with us has been
phenomenal and he has given everybody a lift, in terms of his knowledge
of the game and his ability."
If he dosen't score one game Wayne contributes as well and with the
Rooney&RVP partnership demolishing most premeirship teams we can
look forward to maybe seeing 40 goals from each of them with RVP been on
23 already and Wayne been on 13 we can expect loads more to come.
Hopefully this can be another big signing from the boss.
He makes up a string of quality strikers at MUFC, they include
Hernandez,Rooney,Him and Federico Macheda and maybe Nick Powell. United
who are 12 points clear now are looking to make RVP a medal winner so
lets look forward to more of this from him and will see at the end of
the season.
