Blades Draw at Notts

The Blades drew at the County ground. Earlier the Notts fans and academy player helped clear the pitch. The game passed the inspection and it went ahead. The Blades arrived looking for their first win in 3 after picking up 1 point in 3 games. So the game kicked off United came forward and England u21 international Harry Maguire but Nick Blackman’s corner in the back of the net with 67 seconds gone, United had 4 corners in the first 4 minutes as Danny HigginBotham nearly but them 2-0 up later on from another corner. Then Notts County lost a man who was Francios Zoko after receiving 2 yellow cards in a minute after arguing with the referee for a free-kick. County pressed with Dean Leacock beat the offside trap and nearly but the ball passed Long. HT came with United 1-0 up and going 2nd.
The second half kicked off with the Blades nearly scored early on again with McMahon robbing Neil Bishop and with Kitson lurking in the box he crossed but the striker headed it into the keeper’s hands. Shortly after Dave Kitson went of after being show a yell0w card and being replaced by youngster Joe Ironside.

A spell of County pressure, despite their numerical disadvantage, caused problems and at one point Long had to bound out from his goal to head clear when Judge raced through. Clear-cut chances, however, were at a premium, until the 81st minute when an inswinging Sheehan free-kick was flicked home by JUDGE.
County were content to defend after their equaliser, whilst United pushed in an attempt to restore the advantage. Westlake was allowed to run but shot wide and Ironside was crowded out as he looked to turn in the box.
Four minutes of added time was signalled and McDonald was unable to find the target with a volley and two set-pieces also failed to produce a late winner.
