Liverpool spoil Redkanpps special day

Liverpool spoilt Harry Redknapp's  600th premier league game in charge after beating the defeated side 3-0 with 2 goals from in-form Luis Suarez and 1 from Daniel Agger. The reds move up to 9th place now. Brendan Rodgers was absent because of the virus going around as was Brad Jones. So Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh were left in charge.

First Half:
The First Half was undoubtedly Liverpool's with the star Uruguayan scoring early on (7th minute) from a brilliant individual goal as he nutmeg ed Clint Hill and found himself 1 on 1 with Cesar and slotted it home with the slightest of touches past the Brazilian no1. The reds pushed and pushed for a second and finally got the 2nd from a excellent attack by Luis again he took it wide then his pass to Raheem who was visiting his former club ricochet of him and into Suarez's path and he slotted home from a tight angle into the left hand corner (16 minute). The reds wanted a third and came forward with Downing and it was hit out off Hill for a corner. The Qpr defense fell asleep as Suarez passed to Gerrard who cross it in to find the head of Danish defender Daniel Agger. The reds went into Half time 3-0 up. The replacement manager Colin Pascoe for this game was not aloud into the dressing room at Half time after he was checked by the doctor and had the dreaded Nora-virus.
2nd Half:
Liverpool came out looking to sit comfortably on their perfect display from the first half but were under intense pressure from the sub Shaun Derry who came on for Cisse, at half time. Qpr had endless free kick what were taken by a selection of players the first one Tarrabt  after Gerrard came in and fouled Mackie went straight over. Redknapp brought on Genaro for Diakite and he came on to take the 2nd free kick what was struck very weak and drifted passed the post. The reds went on to counter from a Qpr corner and Gerrard was unlucky not to make it 4-0 after Suarez drafted in a cross and Gerrard didn't make it in time and Nedum Onuaha got their before him. Jamie Carragher came on for Joe Allen and Enrique went off with a Hamstring injury and Suso was his replacment. The reds go into 2013 9th on goal difference after a comfortable display against a dismal Qpr team who are now rock bottom and look a relegated team. Tarrabt  was by far Qpr's best player and there MOTM.
Colin says :
"That's probably the best we have played for a long time with the display in the first half. The way we took our chances was pleasing.
"Luis Suarez is superb. He's a maverick. He creates chances for himself, finishes them and is a great lad.
"It was great result from the lads and the way we performed in the first half secured the win. We were disappointed with the defeat by Stoke on Boxing Day and the response from the players was terrific."
